1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a TotWord account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use TotWord.

2. Who can use TotWord

TotWord is a learning app for young children, used together with a parent or guardian. The account itself belongs to the parent or guardian — we do not create a separate account for the child, and we do not collect the child's age.

By using TotWord, you confirm that you are the parent or guardian, or another adult with permission to set up learning for the child.

3. Your account and sign-in

You sign in with your Google account. Keep your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can access your TotWord account and progress.

You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

4. Free trial and premium unlock

New accounts get a 7-day free trial with full access to TotWord.

After the trial, unlocking TotWord again is a one-time payment of $5 USD (500 BDT). This is a single purchase, not a subscription — one payment, no subscription, no recurring charge.

Premium unlocks are currently activated by hand against your account email, since TotWord does not yet have an automated checkout. If you have paid and your account is not unlocked, email [email protected] and we will sort it out.

5. Refunds

If you are not happy with your purchase, email [email protected] and tell us why. We will review each request and do our best to make it right.

6. Acceptable use

Please use TotWord only for personal, family learning. Do not try to break, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the app or other people's accounts.

7. Our lessons, images, and audio

The words, topics, images, and audio in TotWord belong to TotWord. We license them to you for personal, family, non-commercial use inside the app only.

You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, or download this content in bulk, or use it outside TotWord, without our written permission.

8. Progress lives on your device

Your child's name, learning progress, and quiz history are stored only on the device you use — in the browser's local storage, not on our servers.

This means clearing your browser data, using a private/incognito window, or switching to a new device or browser will lose that progress. We cannot recover it for you. If this matters to you, avoid clearing site data for TotWord.

9. Service availability and changes

We may change, add to, or remove features, content, or pricing at any time, and we may pause or stop the service. We will try to give notice for major changes where we reasonably can.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using TotWord at any time. We may suspend or end access to accounts that break these terms.

11. No warranty, limited liability

TotWord is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it working well, but we cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

To the extent allowed by law, TotWord is not liable for indirect or incidental losses arising from your use of the app, including loss of locally stored progress.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will update the "last updated" date above when we do. Continuing to use TotWord after a change means you accept the new terms.
